Grundfos Foundation invests in Aarhus GeoInstruments

The Grundfos Foundation, owner of the Grundfos Group acquires 24.9 per cent of the shares in Aarhus GeoInstruments.

Both parties underline that the investment is a special case, based on a long and fruitful research partnership.

-This is the Foundation’s first direct investment, and a very special one. We have been involved in the development of the TEM-technology through our partnership with the AU HydroGeophysics Group for years, and it has proven its worth in several climate-vulnerable countries, helping some of the world’s poorest people. We want to continue our journey with Aarhus GeoInstruments and improve access to water for even more people, and this is best done through an investment where we take responsibility for advancing this unique technology, says Kim Nøhr Skibsted, Executive Director, Grundfos Foundation

The investment allows Aarhus GeoInstruments to develop several new instruments and build stronger partnerships with customers to help them design even better groundwater mapping projects.

- It’s a great day for us! We are excited to have the Foundation on board as investor. Its holistic approach, vast business network and professional experience complement our deep knowledge and technological know-how in the most beautiful way. We believe this new relationship will bring forward groundwater mapping, helping to provide people worldwide with better tools to mitigate climate change, says Esben Auken, CEO of Aarhus GeoInstruments.
